Setup — we take on your file entirely: preparing and filing the request, following it through to issuance, putting it into service and guiding you through your first signature.
Service subscription — support for the whole duration of the subscription, reinstallation when you change hardware, troubleshooting of updates, help with access codes, and safekeeping of your file.
Renewal and compliance fee — as an accredited identity confirmation point, Lux-World PC is bound by ongoing obligations: record keeping, monitoring of deadlines, GDPR compliance, maintaining its operators’ accreditation and audits by the certification authority. This fee covers those obligations.

What makes a qualified electronic signature different from a scanned one?
An image of a signature pasted into a document proves nothing: anyone can copy it. A qualified electronic signature rests on a certificate issued after your identity has been verified, and it makes any later change to the document detectable. It is the only form that carries, throughout the European Union, the same legal value as a handwritten signature.
Can I sign a PDF with this certificate?
Yes. PDF is the most common format for documents that need signing — quotes, contracts, official letters — and the signature is applied directly to the file, with no printing or scanning. The signed document remains an ordinary PDF that your recipient opens with their usual reader, and any change made after signing becomes detectable. Set-up includes guidance through your first signature.
Who issues the certificate?
The certification authority Certum, accredited under the eIDAS standards. Lux-World PC acts as an accredited identity confirmation point: we verify your identity, put the application together and follow it through to issuance. You never deal with the authority directly.
How is my identity verified?
By Lux-World PC, as an accredited identity confirmation point. We arrange an appointment, check your identity documents and pass the completed application on to the certification authority.
What happens if I change computer?
Reinstallation is included in the service subscription, along with fixing update problems and help with access codes. You contact us and we put the certificate back into working order on your new machine.
Does the subscription tie me in?
It renews automatically each year and can be cancelled with two months’ notice before the anniversary date. Prices may be revised with 31 days’ notice.
